The opportunity

We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Photography Teacher (with some KS3 Art) fully versed in visual and graphic arts to allow students to explore different mediums.

The Art and Photography Department consists of 3 full-time teachers and offers programmes at all levels from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 leading to GSCE and A Level examinations. At Key Stage 3, the department offers its own teaching programme which is based on the UK curriculum tailored to the needs of an international student body. At Key Stage 4, a two-year linear GCSE course with Edexcel/Pearson in both Fine Art and Photography is offered.

This is also mirrored in the 6th Form where we offer a linear two-year A Level qualifications in Fine Art and Photography.

The department offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities including workshops with local galleries, a weekly art club and half termly photography competitions. The department has strong commercial links with the major art institutions operating in Qatar which provides students with ample experience of art in action.

All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards and displays, all students are furnished with an iPad upon entry, and all staff and students use Google Classroom.
