A key member of the CISD Senior Leadership Team, the Deputy Head of Secondary plays a vital leadership role in supporting the effective operation, strategic development, and overall academic and pastoral success of the Madinat Khalifa Secondary School. Working closely with the Head of Secondary, the Deputy Head ensures high‑quality teaching and learning, promotes a positive school culture, and contributes to the continuous improvement of staff, students, and school programmes.
You will also ensure the parent community feels connected and involved with the school.
We are looking for a strong communicator with significant teaching and school management experience. You should be a qualified teacher with a minimum of five years of Secondary teaching experience and extensive leadership and management experience, gained either in the UK or a respected international school. You should be receptive to feedback, embrace change, and be keen to share best practices with colleagues and peers.
As a strong ambassador for the school, you will develop new ways to engage students and parents across both our school and the wider Nord Anglia education community.
- University degree
- Teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE/PDGE)
- Teaching experience in a UK and/or international context
- Strong working knowledge of the English national curriculum relevant to your subject
Additionally, you must be a fluent speaker of English at a native or near‑native level, and you must meet visa‑related restrictions for Qatar, including possession of a Bachelor’s degree and a face‑to‑face teaching qualification.
Essential Qualifications and Experience- A university degree and a teaching qualification
- At least five years of teaching experience within the British curriculum
- A proven record of successful leadership at a senior level
- A master’s degree in the field of education or an NPQH qualification
- Previous international experience
