The role of the Maths Teacher is to promote a love of learning for students of all abilities and to provide inspirational teaching, assessment and support within a high‑standard school environment. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, foster positive relationships with students, parents and staff, and contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities.
Key Duties and Areas of Responsibility- Set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
- Create a safe, stimulating, respectful classroom environment.
- Accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes through formative and summative assessment.
- Plan and deliver well‑structured, engaging lessons that build understanding and curiosity.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with special educational needs and EAL students.
- Use accurate marking and regular feedback to support pupil progress.
- Manage behaviour effectively, maintaining high standards and a positive school climate.
- Contribute to department resources, curriculum design, and professional development.
- Participate in the wider school community, including extra‑curricular programmes and parent communication.
- Comply with health and safety, safeguarding and professional conduct standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field.
- Required teaching certification/licence for Qatar MOEHE.
- Preferred master’s degree for higher‑level positions.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience.
LanguageEnglish is mandatory.
