PE Teacher

We are looking for a dedicated PE Teacher (Maternity Cover) who is committed to providing high-quality PE lessons and inspiring pupils to develop their physical abilities and well-being. • Teach PE from Key Stage 3 to AS Level.
• Develop and deliver engaging and dynamic PE lessons.
• Plan and implement a curriculum that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Organise and lead extracurricular sports activities and school events.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils thrive.
• Assess pupils' performance effectively and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain up-to-date curriculum knowledge.
• Contribute to the school’s extracurricular and enrichment programmes.
• Participate in professional development and training (INSET & CPD).

Essential:

• A DfE-recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent) from a UK university.
• Proven experience teaching PE in a British curriculum setting.
• Strong lesson planning and curriculum development skills.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to pupils success.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Desirable:

• Ability to teach PE up to GCSE and AS Level.
• Recent teaching experience in the UK.
• Experience teaching swimming and holding an accredited swim teacher qualification.
• Interest in teaching Primary PE.
