University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) invites applications for the Lab Instructor position in the Marine Engineering Department at the Lab Instructor rank for Fall 2026.

Responsibilities- Support, deliver, and evaluate a broad range of Marine Engineering courses within diploma and degree programs.
- Evaluate student progress and manage learning environment resources.
- Liaise with industry and other educational institutions; participate in industry advisory committees; coordinate and support final year/capstone projects within the program area.
- Maintain course portfolio documents for program review and accreditation processes; engage in instructional and new program development.
- Contribute to innovation in teaching and learning within the College.
Instructional faculty members will be appointed in the appropriate rank based on education and experience; the broad criteria are provided below.
For Lab Instructor- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or a closely related field (e.g., Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Propulsion Systems and Engine Control, Thermofluids) from a recognized and accredited institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years of full-time teaching and laboratory experience in upper secondary, post-secondary, or higher education institutions.
- Competency in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Ability to apply various teaching approaches in classroom and practice settings, including laboratories, simulations, and practicums.
- Proficiency with educational technology and learning platforms.
- Demonstrated academic and information literacy skills.
- Commitment to applied and experiential learning as a pedagogy and UDST’s mandate.
- Ability to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments using contemporary tools and resources.
- Digital literacy and fluency with technology systems; ability to model and facilitate use of digital tools in research and learning.
- Ability to develop technology-enriched learning environments that engage students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Collaborative and collegial spirit with the ability to establish rapport with learners, colleagues, sponsor-employers, and community members.
