Special Education Homeroom Teacher
Relocation: Qatar – August 2026 Start
Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to lead a small class of approximately 10 students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will design and implement individualized education plans (EPs), foster a supportive learning environment, and equip students with the skills they need to thrive academically, socially, and in their future endeavours.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to students’ strengths, needs, and goals.
- Deliver instruction in academics, using differentiation to target grade level expectations with common core standards (American).
- Collaborate with instructional assistants and specialists e.g., occupational therapists, speech‑language pathologists, behaviour therapists.
- Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment. Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting strategies as needed. Facilitate school‑to‑community transition planning for students.
- Integrate visual aids, hands‑on activities, and explicit teaching methods to enhance learning.
- Bachelor’s in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid teaching certification/license/equivalency with 3+ years teaching.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including cognitive and executive functioning challenges.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, functional academics, and transition planning.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
- Arabic language is desirable.
