We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Physical Education Teacher to join our team from August 2026. As a Primary PE Teacher at Newton British Academy, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Physical Education lessons in line with the English National Curriculum. You will inspire pupils to develop physical competence, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of sport and healthy living, while supporting their overall wellbeing and personal development.

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and well-structured PE lessons in line with the English National Curriculum for Primary pupils.
• Promote physical fitness, motor skills development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles.
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that supports high standards of behaviour and wellbeing.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to pupils and parents.
• Organise and support school sports events, fixtures, and extracurricular activities where required.
• Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school initiatives related to sport, health, and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff, parents, and school leadership.
• Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, QTS, or equivalent).
• A minimum of two years’ full-time teaching experience within a British curriculum school.
• Experience teaching Physical Education at Primary level.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A child-centred, inclusive, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
• Ability to adapt confidently to a multicultural and dynamic school environment.
