University of Doha for Science and Technology – Student Engagement and Alumni Affairs Directorate is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Manager, Alumni Affairs. Reporting to the Director, Student Engagement and Alumni Affairs, the Manager, Alumni Affairs is responsible for managing activities and relations of all alumni of the University by developing and implementing alumni engagement strategies along with other University personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of Alumni Affairs department strategic plans in alignment with UDST’s strategy
  • This position requires an individual who will collaborate with alumni and development professionals within the University to facilitate programs, activities, and events that include key alumni and donors to enhance current activities through partnering.
  • The successful candidate will determine the Alumni Affairs team’s strategic direction and provide leadership, motivation and support in maintaining quality output from the team.
  • Lead and contribute to the implementation of strategies to raise funds for UDST.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the position of UDST in the local community.
  • The successful candidate will ensure that there is effective communication with senior colleagues on matters relating to alumni events, alumni group activities, University publications, web and email communication and liaise between Alumni team members and others in the University.
  • The incumbent will maintain a network with a variety of departments on campus to facilitate the effective and efficient coordination of programs, events, activities and manage and overview the development of Alumni Affairs and web services for alumni.
  • The successful candidate will conduct quarterly measurements and evaluations as well as summary reports on the specific outcomes of alumni engagement programs, events, and activities, also measuring engagement for all alumni related programs, events, and/or activities to ensure successful progress and for tracking purposes.
  • The successful candidate will develop events and activities ensuring that the activity attracts and involves as many members of target groups.
  • The successful candidate will create and implement strategies that aid the Alumni affairs to establish successful goals and encourage/support academic and other departments in undertaking events and communications which will promote good alumni relations.
  • The successful candidate will develop partnership relationships with senior management to identify opportunities for UDST to promote its relationship with the alumni base.
  • The successful candidate will formulate annual operational plans with targets, metrics and KPIs.
Qualifications

Education and

Certifications:

Master’s degree in a relevant field required

Professional certification is preferred.

Experience: Minimum 8 years of similar experience with a minimum of 1 year in a managerial position

Language: Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic language required.
