Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging Biology and Science lessons for senior secondary students
- Preparing lesson plans, assessments, laboratory activities, and academic reports
- Supporting students in achieving academic excellence and critical thinking skills
- Maintaining a positive and disciplined classroom environment
- Monitoring student progress and providing timely feedback
- Participating in school activities, meetings, and professional development programs
- Ensuring laboratory safety procedures are followed at all times
- Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student success
- Bachelor's Degree in Science (Biology)
- Teaching qualification/certification
- Eligibility for Alberta Certification or Alberta Certified
- Solid teaching experience at secondary/high school level
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology and general Science
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Experience with international curriculum is an advantage
