The Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) Directorate invites applications for the position of on‑demand Part‑Time Environmental Inspection Instructor.
Responsibilities- Deliver training on technical and field aspects of environmental inspection, including data collection, documentation, and reporting.
- Detect and document environmental violations.
- Apply legal and procedural requirements for inspection and evidence handling.
- Raise marine ecosystem awareness and respond to pollution.
- Teach navigation basics, vessel safety, and emergency handling.
- Use drones and cameras for environmental documentation.
- Promote sustainable fishing practices and removal of abandoned gear.
- Prepare lesson plans, field exercises, and case studies aligned with national standards.
- Supervise practical sessions and ensure adherence to field safety protocols.
- Evaluate participant performance and recommend areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with other instructors and authorities to ensure integrated, effective training delivery.
- A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, Environmental Engineering or another relevant field.
- Minimum five years of experience in marine environmental inspection, monitoring, or enforcement.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and field documentation standards.
- Prior experience in training or capacity building preferred.
- Skilled in environmental reporting, field safety, and use of monitoring tools (e.g., drones, cameras).
- Strong written and spoken Arabic.
- Certificate, diploma or degree in Education, e.g. Post‑secondary Education, Adult Education or Vocational Education.
- Membership in a relevant professional association.
- Ability to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Collaborative and collegial spirit, with a demonstrated ability to establish rapport with learners, colleagues, sponsor‑employers, and community members.
