EGA's MYP Science Teacher plays a key role in fostering scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary learning. The teacher delivers engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework, emphasizing real-world applications of science.
Responsibilities- Curriculum Delivery: Teach MYP Science, covering physics, chemistry, biology, and environmental science, using an inquiry-based approach.
- Conceptual Understanding: Develop students' investigative and analytical skills through hands-on experiments, projects, and real-life applications.
- Interdisciplinary Learning: Integrate science concepts with other subjects, emphasizing the global context of scientific discoveries.
- Assessment & Feedback: Use MYP formative and summative assessments, including criterion-based grading, to track student progress.
- Technology Integration: Incorporate digital tools, simulations, and scientific technology to enhance learning.
- Student Engagement: Promote independent research, STEM innovation, and scientific thinking in the classroom.
- Safeguarding & Well-being: Ensure student safety, particularly in laboratory settings, and adhere to school safeguarding policies.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on IB methodologies and advancements in science education.

Teaching Credential/License - Additional School Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or Education. Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE,
B.Ed., or equivalent). IB MYP teaching experience preferred. Strong knowledge of scientific inquiry and interdisciplinary connections. Effective communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. - Visa Eligible Citizenships:
