Whole School Performing Arts Teacher
Compass International School Doha is looking for an inspiring, energetic and highly creative teacher to develop our performing arts provision across the school. You will work across all campus age phases, supporting and leading school productions, concerts and community performances and building a cohesive performing‑arts culture.
AboutThe Role
Deliver a bespoke curriculum built on the English National Curriculum, designing and teaching lessons that integrate innovative practices to enhance student learning. Play a key role in large‑scale productions, concerts, showcases and community performances, contributing creatively and strategically to the growing performing arts programme.
About You- Demonstrated ability to create a learning culture where students are supported, challenged and inspired.
- Inclusive approach to EAL, supporting learners of varying English proficiency.
- Expertise in curriculum planning and delivery, with ability to scaffold pathways for all learners.
- Strong communication and motivation skills that energise and involve students, parents and colleagues.
- Receptive to feedback and proactive in sharing best practice and developing new engagement strategies.
- University degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Music or a related specialist subject
- Teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent)
- Teaching experience in UK and/or international contexts
- Strong working knowledge of the English National Curriculum in the relevant subject
- Fluent English (native or near‑native level)
- Eligibility to work in Qatar, including possession of a Bachelor’s degree and a face‑to‑face teaching qualification
- Master’s degree or evidence of further professional development
