Emergency Medicine Faculty
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic physician‑educator with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in medical education and clinical practice in an academic medical center, preferably in North America, to teach in the integrated Foundational Sciences courses and clerkships of the undergraduate medical program at WCM‑Q and Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.
Job Responsibilities- Co‑lead the Emergency Medicine Clerkship and teach in the integrated foundational sciences using diverse pedagogical approaches. Mentor students to develop clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and professional growth in a culturally diverse environment.
- Deliver emergency care to adult patients in hospital‑based settings and participate in service coverage. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, evidence‑based, and patient‑centered care.
- Engage in clinical, educational, or translational research, local and international collaborations, and contribute to publications, presentations, and grant‑funded projects to advance academic excellence.
- M.D. or its accepted equivalent.
- American Board certification in Emergency Medicine or its accepted equivalent.
- Experience in teaching and clinical practice in an academic medical center, preferably in North America.
- A record of excellence in teaching and scholarship.
- Minimum of 3 years of significant teaching experience at the undergraduate level in a university or academic health system with a strong record of excellence in teaching.
- Experience with several learning modalities, including bedside teaching, simulation‑based teaching, problem‑based learning (PBL), lectures, small group sessions, journal clubs, and flipped classroom approaches.
- Experience integrating emerging technologies into the development and delivery of medical education to enhance student learning and assessment.
- A track record of clinical or educational research would be highly advantageous.
