The Technical/Workshop Assistant
is responsible for assisting with the safe delivery of practical based lessons to both General Engineering and Specialty Training to cadets within the BAE Systems Qatar Technical Institutein Doha, Qatar.
The Technical/Workshop Assistant will assist with the safe delivery of a range of practicaltraining modules, across both the General Engineering and Specialty programmeor within their Mechanical/Electrical trade boundary.
The safe delivery of the modules will contribute toward the Technical Institute’s commitment to deliver a safe,reliable and high quality training service enabling learners attainment ofexternally accredited qualifications.
The Technical/Workshop Assistant will distribute equipment, materials and assist inkeeping the workshop areas clean and tidy in compliance with all SHEregulations and local TI policies.
The Instructor/Assessor will actively contribute to the continuing improvement ofthe QTI, through identification of ideas and embracing the suggestions ofothers.
Core Activity- Therole will assist with the safe delivery and assessment of a range of practicaltraining modules, intervening and bringing to the attention of instructional staff instances of unsafe or incorrect practices. Predominantly within the workshopsbut also other practical training areas.
- Therole will distribute tools, equipment, materials and assist in keeping theworkshop areas clean and tidy in compliance with all SHE regulations and localTI policies.
- Therole will also assist with other tasks related to the delivery of practicaltraining and assessment activities under the direction of instructionnal staffas the need arises.
- Assisting with the safe delivery of a range of practical training modules
- Ensuringtraining assistance is delivered in compliance with all SHE regulations andlocal TI policies.
- Storageand distribution of tools, equipment and materials
- Keeping the workshop areas clean and tidy in compliance with all SHE regulations andlocal TI policies.
- Prepare workshops/practicalareas for classes and clear the workshop/practical areas after the class as directed.
- Level2 Qualification in an Engineering related discipline
- Working Knowledge of SHE and its application in an engineering environment
- Native English speaker or for second language minimum of IELTS 4.5
- 2yrstraining/technical assistance experience gained outside of QTTC assisting with/delivering:
