The Clinical Psychology Program at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in psychological assessment. The successful candidate will be expected to assume their appointment in August September 2027. We are particularly seeking a candidate with strong expertise in psychometric assessment including cognitive assessment, personality assessment, and psychodiagnostic interviewing.
The successful applicant must be able to teach graduate-level assessment courses including courses focused on cognitive and personality assessment tools, interpretation, report writing, and clinical decision-making. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate-level courses in clinical psychology with particular emphasis on cognitive assessment, personality assessment, psychometric tools and psychodiagnostic interviewing; train students in the ethical, culturally informed, and clinically responsible use of psychological assessment instruments;
supervise students in assessment-related clinical and research activities; contribute to curriculum development and program quality assurance; maintain an active program of research and scholarly publication; participate in departmental, school, and institutional service; support the development of clinical training capacity within the program; apply for a clinical practitioner license in Qatar.
- A PhD in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field.
- An active clinical license in country of residence and/or citizenship.
- Academic rank and experience appropriate for appointment at the Associate Professor or Full Professor level.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychological assessment, including cognitive assessment, personality assessment, and psychodiagnostic interviewing.
- Experience teaching graduate-level courses in clinical psychology, particularly assessment-related courses.
- Evidence of scholarly productivity appropriate to senior academic rank.
- Experience supervising graduate students in clinical, research, or assessment-related work.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English.
- Strong experience with widely used cognitive and personality assessment tools.
- Expertise in integrating assessment findings into psychodiagnostic formulation and clinical recommendations.
- Experience teaching assessment administration, scoring, interpretation, report writing, and ethical test use.
- Familiarity with culturally responsive assessment practices in Arabic-speaking or multicultural contexts.
- Experience contributing to graduate clinical training programs, practicum supervision, curriculum development, or program leadership.
- Evidence of active research in clinical psychology, psychological assessment, psychopathology, or related areas.
