Junior Librarian

Junior Librarian - Doha, Qatar

We are in search of a highly motivated Junior Librarian to join our growing team at our library in Doha. As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with the organization and management of the library's collection, as well as providing assistance to library patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and knowledge, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.

This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in the field of library science. Accommodation will be provided for non-local candidates. Salary is competitive at 1300$ per month. Malayalees are encouraged to apply.

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in using library databases and technology
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if needed
• Fluency in English is not required but preferred

• Assist with circulation duties such as checking books in/out, shelving materials, and processing holds.
• Provide reference services to patrons by helping them locate resources.
• Contribute to collection development by recommending new materials based on patron needs.
• Assist with planning and implementing programs and events for patrons.
• Maintain the organization of the library's physical and digital collections.
• Keep up-to-date records of circulation statistics.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any patron concerns or inquiries.

This is a part-time position suitable for individuals without previous experience. We welcome freshers who are passionate about libraries and willing to learn. If you have a love for books and knowledge, we want you on our team!
