Mathematics Teacher

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Mathematics Teacher role based in Doha, Qatar. The Mathematics Teacher will plan and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with the American curriculum for appropriate grade levels, using a variety of instructional methods and resources. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records of grades and attendance. The teacher will differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, integrate technology into teaching, and support students in developing strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Additional duties include participating in curriculum development, collaborating with colleagues and parents or guardians, attending school meetings and professional development, and contributing to the overall school community.

• Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
• Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development aligned with an American curriculum.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field.
• Previous classroom teaching experience, preferably in an international or multicultural school setting.
• Ability to create inclusive, student-centered learning environments and manage classroom behavior effectively.
• Skilled in using educational technology and digital tools to enhance math instruction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and staff.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective teaching practice.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are an asset.
