Bilingual Tutor / Governess in Doha (Qatar) & Al Ain (UAE)

Educated Households is an élite nannyagency & household agency placing supremely educated staff with VIPfamilies in London and worldwide.

We are seeking 2 full-time bilingualtutors / governesses with spotless English in addition to another Europeanlanguage. The positions are for 2 branches of the same family: one position isbased in Doha (Qatar) and the other position is based in beautiful Al Ain(UAE).

It is imperative that the candidatesqualified from a prestigious university or business school that is recognized worldwide, as the parents request their tutors / governesses to have attendedthese kinds of institutions to be valuable role models to surround their children with. The families want to raise their children bilingual and are openregarding the other European languages, as long as the English language is absolutely superbly mastered.

The candidates must have at least 5years' experience working in fully-staffed households (the families arenon-specific as to the countries where you had your experience from).

The children are a boy aged 5 for theDoha role. For the UAE-based role, there is a set of twin girls aged 4 with abrother aged 7. The children are inquisitive and gregarious, but the eldest boyis quite shy. The job holders should be kind, open-minded and also to be ableto bring educational structure and insight to these private households and getthe children to develop a love for learning through play.

The tutors / governesses are expected to research and set up activities for the children whilst they are roles are children-centered with no nursery duties as there are local nanniesalready in place to help.

The parents don't expect you to workmore than 40 hours per week when in the Middle East, but you must be flexible and happy to work longer hours when the families do travel overseas during theschool holiday breaks. The families would like you to be a team player. Thework schedule is 5 days a week, with 2 days off for the position in Qatar(Fridays & Saturdays).

The UAE having recently adopted Saturday-Sundayweekends, your days off will fall onto these days.

Positions start after the summerholiday, by early September 2022. Interviewing now and / or over the summerholiday, but both families are happy to wait for the right candidates fittingtheir requirements.

Salary is from £ 1200+ / week to be discussedaccording to your experience.

The positions come with a separate apartment and transport will be arranged by the employers on and off duty. Health insurance, 2 return tickets per year (holiday when fits the employers), yearlybonus upon results. The families would like the tutors to commit for a leastone 1 year.

  • Degree(s) from a very prestigious university or business school recognized worldwide. Certificates shall not suffice.
  • 5+ years' experience working with children of this age range.
  • Being fully bilingual.
  • Outstanding English-speaking skills superbly standing out against peers.
  • An additional foreign language, craftily mastered.
  • Proven experience working in fully-staffed homes.
  • Being a team player.
  • Supervising nannies.
  • Willing to travel during the school holidays.
  • Being resourceful and forward-thinking.
  • Not being fazed by last‑minute arrangements.
  • Sea legs, comfortable on yachts.
  • Happy to commit for a minimum of one year or on a longer term in Doha or in Al Ain.
  • Work visa arranged by the employers.
  • Own separate flat with all mods and cons.
  • Health insurance.
  • Work schedule:

    5 days per week, with some degree of flexibility during the school holidays.
  • 2 consecutive days off, whenever possible, with some degree of flexibility.
  • Transport provided by the employers, on & off duty.
  • 2 return tickets per year.
