Job Description
* * Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Biopsychology & Neuroscience
* * Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), part of Qatar Foundation, seeks faculty at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank to join the College of Health and Life Sciences in Doha. This is a full-time, tenure-track academic position combining research, teaching, and institutional service.
* * Role Overview:
* * The position requires developing and maintaining a strong research program, teaching graduate courses, mentoring research students, participating in college governance, serving on university committees, and engaging in professional and community activities.
*
* Key Responsibilities:

* ** Conduct high-caliber, original research and publish in peer-reviewed venues
* Teach graduate-level courses in biopsychology or neuroscience
* Supervise and mentor graduate research students
* Lead research initiatives aligned with college and university strategy
* Participate in college administrative duties and strategic planning
* Serve on university committees and engage in professional service
* Contribute to community outreach and professional engagement activities

* Minimum Qualifications:

* ** PhD in biopsychology, neuroscience, or related field (MD in Psychiatry with research experience also considered; research applying machine learning to neurological or psychiatric disorders also valued)
* Full-time university teaching and/or research experience, or equivalent industry/research background
* Strong publication record with significant contributions to the discipline
* Evidence of professional maturity and increasing research productivity
* * For Associate/Full Professor Positions:
* ** Evidence or potential for securing external research funding
* Proven track record mentoring junior researchers and developing early-career scholars
* Formal graduate education and academic program development experience
* Strong knowledge of academic policies, procedures, and ethical standards
