Social Studies Teacher – Middle School/High School Elective
Job Summary
We are recruiting on behalf of a confidential educational institution in Qatar seeking an experienced Social Studies Teacher to deliver the American Curriculum across Grades 5–9, with the potential to teach high school elective subjects.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver Social Studies lessons aligned with the American Curriculum.
Teach History, Geography, Civics and related Social Studies subjects.
Potentially deliver high school electives depending on subject expertise.
Prepare lesson plans, assessments and engaging classroom activities.
Encourage critical thinking, research and student participation.
Monitor academic progress and maintain effective classroom management.
Bachelor's degree in Education, History, Geography, Social Studies or a related discipline.
Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, QTS or equivalent) preferred.
Previous experience teaching Social Studies at middle school level.
Experience teaching the American Curriculum strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of relevant subjects and teaching methodologies.
Excellent English communication skills.
Ability to teach high school electives would be advantageous.
