Job Title:

Senior Safety Officer (Industrial)

This is a permanent role, to be based in Qatar.

Inspect and monitor workplace activities to promote and ensure employees, investors, service providers, and contractor's compliance with applicable company's QHSE regulations, applicable laws, and other safety regulations.

• Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
• Conduct employee training on applicable safety standards.
• Review safety training and recommend revisions, improvements, and updates.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
• Monitor investors’, service providers’, and contractors’ HSE compliance.
• Inspect safety equipment and recommend replacements. Draft and implement internal safety standards and policies. Review accidents and incidents reported by employees and visitors.
• Review and recommend Risk Assessment and Method Statement for the issuance of permit to work.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Any other duties requested by Management.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field required.

Work Experience:

5–7 years of work experience in the required discipline.

• Knowledge of QCS 2014, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.
• Health and Safety certification required (Minimum NEBOSH IGC Level 3 or equivalent).
• Extensive knowledge of safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
• Extensive knowledge of labour laws and ILO requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to conduct training.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Annual return flight tickets for employee, spouse, and up to 3 children.
• Gym allowance of QAR 10,000 per year.
• Performance bonus equal to 5× basic salary annually.
• Annual salary increase of up to 5%.
• Medical insurance (including dental and optical) for employee, spouse, and up to 3 children.
• Education allowance of QAR 30,000 per year per child (maximum 3 children, up to age 18).
• Life insurance for employee only (valued at 45× basic salary).
