Reporting To:Rig Superintendent / OIM
Direct Reports:Drillers, Assistant Drillers, Rig Crew

The
Senior Toolpusher
is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of alldrilling operations on the rig. This role ensures compliance with Qatar Energy,ADNOC, and international standards (e.g., API, IADC) while leading the drillingteam to achieve operational excellence.

• Supervise
  drilling, casing, and wellcontrol activities
  to meet project KPIs (e.g., ROP, NPT).
• Oversee
  BOP and well control equipment
  maintenance(per API RP 53).
• Coordinate with
  client reps
  (e.g.,Qatar Energy, Shell) to align on drilling programs.

• Lead
  emergency drills
  (kickdrills, abandon ship) and incident investigations.
• Ensure
  100% compliance
  with Qatar’s offshore regulations (MME, QP standards).

• Mentor
  drillers, ADs, and roustabouts
  (conductcompetency assessments).
• Manage
  rotational crew schedules
  (28/28or 42/21).
• Resolve conflicts and maintain discipline.

• Optimize
  consumables usage
  (mud,fuel, spare parts) to reduce costs.
• Approve
  maintenance logs
  andOEM service reports.

• Daily
  drilling reports
  to theRig Superintendent.
• Track
  KPIs
  (daily cost,footage drilled, safety metrics).

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Certifications:
• IWCF Well Control Level 4 (Supervisor).
• OPITO/BOSIET (with HUET).
• H2S/Confined Space certifications.
• 15+ years in offshore drilling (10+ as Toolpusher).
• Qatar/GCC experience (preferred; familiarity with North Fieldrigs).
• Expertise in jackup/semisub operations (e.g.,GDI, Shelf Drilling rigs).

• Proficient in drilling software (e.g.,Drill Plan, Well View).
• Deep knowledge of Qatar Energy drillingprotocols (e.g., casing design, mud specs).
• Fluent in rig inspection audits (APIRP 2D, 8B).
• Leadership:
  Decisive under pressure (e.g., well kicks).
• Communication:
  Liaise with clients, crew, and OEMs.
• Problem-Solving:
  Troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Salary: QAR 35,000–45,000/month (based on experience).

  Performance-linked (up to 20% annual).
