The Piping Foremanleadsoffshore piping crews during shutdowns, ensuring safe and efficient execution of fabrication, installation, repairs, and hydrotesting of pipelines, valves,and supports.
Key Responsibilities:1. Shutdown Execution:
- Supervise pipe fitters, welders, and riggers intasks like:
- Replacement of corroded pipelines, valves, and flanges.
- Installation of new spools/modifications perP&IDs/isometrics.
- Hydrotesting and leak checks.
- Ensure work complies with shutdown schedules(critical path).
- EnforcePTW (Permit to Work),isolation (LOTO), and confined space procedures.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety audits(Qatar Energy/Shell standards).
- Verify alignment, welding (WPS/PQR), andgasket installation perASME B31.3/API 570.
- Oversee NDT (RT/UT) and punch-list closure.
- Liaise with shutdown managers, engineers, andother trades (scaffolding, insulation).
- Report progress/roadblocks using SAP orclient-specific systems.
- Manage piping materialinventories and ensure
- 8+ years in oil/gas piping, with3+years offshore shutdowns.
- Familiarity with Aramco, QP, or Shellshutdown proceduresis a plus.
- Reading isometrics/P&IDs, rigging plans,and stress analysis reports.
- Proficiency inflange managementandbolt-torquing procedures.
