Job Overview

Perform piping & valves engineering activities for Projects Engineering Support Division ensuring that all activities comply with standardised processes and are delivered to the highest standards.

• Reports to Lead Mechanical Engineer.
• Interface with Engineering & Projects (E&P) and Operations, HSE & Q, at Lead and Head Level.
• Interface with Qatar Energy, Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC), EPC Contractors and 3rd party Companies.
• Occasional contact with shareholders and government bodies.
• Operates in technical environment with interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Required to contribute to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in specialised area.
• As defined for this job level in the Delegation of Authority and/or approved budget.
• Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company Safety, Health and Environment and Quality policies, regulations and standards.
• Ensure all activities undertaken comply with anti‑trust and competition laws and the Company firewall policies and procedures.
• Ensure piping and valves design engineering activities for Projects Engineering Support Division are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements, project specifications and approved variations if any.
• Resolve engineering issues that may arise and communicate with the Project Execution Team. Elevate issues to higher levels when necessary.
• Develop, update and amend various policies and procedures related to Projects Management Department as and when required in consultation with the Head of Projects Engineering Support and other team members.
• Evaluate complex tasks and provide appropriate recommendations to management on issues. Provide support to other disciplines and contribute to other multi‑disciplinary tasks.
• Uphold all Project Philosophies and Procedures and ensure that these are applied to the specification, design and procurement of piping items.

• Degree in engineering or science majoring in Mechanical Engineering in the area of
• 4 years' experience in area of specialization (piping engineering) within oil and gas industry of which 3 years are in project management team role.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Attain and maintain competence in accordance with the technical competence framework requirements.
• Computer literate, with advanced knowledge of all relevant engineering software tools, systems and tools.

• Day Rate in USD Plus Allowance

• 10 Hours / 5 Days

• 24 months, with possible extension
