Sr. Project Engineer

Overview

Provide project engineering and management for Process Platform / Facilities of BH Redevelopment Project, in accordance with Company Project Management Framework.

• Leading and coordinating project teams to provide complete project engineering and management to execute Process Platform/Facilities of the BH Redevelopment project.
• Prepare and implement Project Execution Plans.
• Participate in Project Planning, Cost Control, Budgeting, Contract Administration, Progress Reporting, Change Management and Stage Gate approval activities.
• Manage and coordinate a team of multidiscipline engineers to achieve timely review of deliverables and resolution of technical and engineering issues.
• Participate in the preparation of scope of work, tender packages, tendering process, evaluation of tenders and submissions with appropriate recommendations to relevant Tender Committees.
• Monitor the performance and quality of works by EPIC contractor and Vendors and initiate remedial actions to ensure compliance to agreed milestones.
• Contribute to the risk management process through identification, mitigation, implementation, and close‑out of identified project risks and issues.
• Facilitate management of Project interfaces between EPIC Contractors and with various project stakeholders according to interface management plans.
• Ensure compliance to applicable HSE standards/regulations and Project Quality Standards in close coordination with QHSE engineers.
• Handle assessment of Contractor's time and cost related claims.
• Review and recommend settlement of final accounts and variations to contracts.
• Ensure timely Project Handover and Completion.
• Ensure and follow‑up on completion and handover certificates, punch list close‑out, approval of SPIRs and SAP‑CMMS leading to handover of project to asset holder.
• Facilitate timely project close‑out process.
• Prepare progress reports of projects for internal reporting and presentations.
• Mentor Qatari Associates by ensuring they receive proper job training to realize their full potential.

• BSc. in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University; higher degree would be advantageous.
• Membership in a recognized professional engineering/project management association / institution will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in engineering, project management and execution of major EPIC projects in Offshore oil & gas.
• Specific work experience in execution of Process/Gas Compression Platform involving Jacket, Topside, Bridges and Appurtenances.
• Effective communication (presentation, report writing, and management of meetings) skills.

• Salary: Day Rate in QAR Plus Allowance
• Work Schedule: 8 Hours / 5 Days
• Duration: 2 years, renewable
