Responsibilities
- Provide technical support in Civil/Structural and maintenance aspect throughout all stages of the project.
- Verify and review technical designs, documents, and bids in accordance with approved standards and to meet Operations, Maintenance, Asset and Pipeline Integrity and HSE requirements.
- Check and review all project drawings and documents (civil, structural, specifications and proposed materials) submitted by others in accordance with the project specifications.
- Plan and coordinate between Operations, Maintenance and Asset Integrity teams to ensure project requirements are met and aligned.
- Identifies potential hazards during commissioning activities, participates in technical meetings, Pre-Start Up Safety Audits, raises punch lists and provide support to operations and maintenance teams in various stages of project activities.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Project execution departments and Operations & Maintenance teams during projects' FEED and EPIC stages to align Operations and Maintenance, Asset Integrity and HSE requirements.
- Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders and resolve relevant technical issues, punch lists during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages till the projects are successfully commissioned and handed over.
- Support Lead engineer or supervisor to ensure that all applicable environmental, process and safety technical policies are fully integrated and implemented.
- Ensure that Operational Excellence (OE) incorporated in daily activities / all activities & full involvement of all staff
- Support development of Qatari team.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 12 years' experience in Structural Design & Construction, preferably in the Oil and Gas environment or similar industrial environment, including at least 6 years' experience at Supervisory level.
- Some experience and knowledge of general environmental engineering and quantity surveying is required.
- Experience in reviewing tenders, compiling estimates, overseeing contractors and supervisions of staff and labour is required.
- Excellent knowledge of engineering and structural design experience.
- Professional Engineer registered with reputable international Professional Engineering Institution will be added advantage
- Good knowledge in construction activities and project management.
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
- Computer literate in mainstream Office products, have had exposure to online management, document and maintenance systems including SAP.
- Skill / knowledge of International, Shell DEPs and/or QP standards related to his area of expertise.
- Experience in operations, maintenance and projects' pre-commissioning, commissioning, and Hand-over activities.
- Possess good communication, presentation skills and fluent in English language.
- Day Rate in QAR Plus Allowance
- 8 Hours / 5 Days
- 2 years, renewable
