We have a current opportunity for a Process/Piping Lead on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Doha/China. For further information about this position please apply.

Duration of contract: 18 Months

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or equivalent in engineering
  • Experience:

    At least 15 years’ experience in the offshore oil & gas industry with minimum 7 years’ experience in a lead Commissioning role
  • Proven track record of leadership and problem resolution.
  • Available for technical missions worldwide.
  • Experienced with NOC Standards (Total General Specifications), OPERCOM and ICAPS, MANASA.
  • DCC Database and relevant codes and standards.
Roles And Responsibilities
  • To witness and/or verify all PVV/Process system and completion activities performed by the Construction Contractor including approval of punch lists.
  • To Lead the pre-commissioning and the commissioning preparation and the execution at the fabrication sites, offshore in order to deliver an installation to CPY as ready for operation on schedule.
  • To Lead discipline supervisor(s) and to follow closely the commissioning of systems/subsystems assigned in accordance with the commissioning procedures and commissioning and start-up schedule, coordinating the various disciplines, and ensuring all disciplines reach assigned targets as per system completion schedule.
  • To ensure that the PVV/Process content of the dossiers is accurate and complete before they are accepted from construction, commissioning.
EPCIC PREPARATION PHASE
  • Ensure proper implementation of all pre-commissioning / commissioning disciplines
  • Review the preparation of pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures (write the procedure if necessary, in order to respect the planning and achieve the milestones in due time) and reporting tools prepared by contractors (such as but not limited to: including technical database, planning, punch lists control and follow-up of the disciplines concerned)
  • Review N2/He Leak Test Pack
  • Maximize onshore commissioning and minimize lost time due to interfaces.
  • Ensure ICAPS data base population
  • Ensure that the Process-Piping pre-commissioning and commissioning spare parts, consumables equipment, special tools, etc are sufficient and available in time.
  • Ensure Piping. Pipeline and vessel preservation strategy and procedure
EPCIC COMMISSIONING EXECUTION PHASE
  • Follow the contractor ’s Piping-Process commissioning activities using the OPERCOM® Methodology and ICAPS© (Integrated Commissioning and Progress System) software.
  • Follow the execution of Piping-Process commissioning activities to achieve commissioning schedule completion target
  • Control and follow-up Hydrotest Pack priorities
  • Control and follow-up Flange Management and N2/He Leak Test
  • Control and follow-up on red line mark-up drawings
  • Ensure proper Punch Item entry and closure
  • Technical support to Process/Piping discipline and Contractor
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and final commissioning reports.
  • Lead Piping-Process system safety awareness and toolbox talks.
  • Coordinate with multi-discipline commissioning leads to ensure integrated system commissioning
  • Control and follow-up on VENDORS commissioning scope of work activities such as: SAT, OTPs, documents update and Closing of Punch list
  • Follow for piping and pipeline system preservation
  • Leading commissioning spare parts and special tools handover process to FOPS team.
