Position: Senior Electrical Engineer # 166

JOB PURPOSE

To prepare the complete pre-construction budgeting and tender estimating.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Prepares estimates and budgets for tenders/projects assigned
  • Supervises quantity surveyors and office engineers to insure complete and accurate estimates.
  • Participates in preparing materials/subcontractor adjudication reports and consequently selection of proper materials/subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive estimate.
  • Reviews all final estimate packages to assure accuracy and completeness prior to final submission.
  • Provides assistance in the study and recommendations of method statements, procedures and scheduling as required.
  • Provides technical assistance in negotiating contracts upon award.
  • Prepares the project implementation manual (Budget file) and provides technical assistance to project team during early construction phase and as necessary
    • EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • At least 10 – 12 years of experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Qatar or GCC
  • Knowledgeable of QCS 2014.

  • Good English communication skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
