Electrical & Electronic Technician (On-site) – Qatar

BS GROUP INTERNATIONAL is currently seeking a competent and safety‑focused Electrical & Electronic Technician to join our technical team in Doha, Qatar
. In this role, you will support the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, and automation systems across onshore and offshore oil & gas projects
, ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience, a solid technical foundation, and the ability to work efficiently in safety‑critical environments
. Flexibility for offshore work and regional project assignments is essential.

Additionally, the selected candidate must be willing to support operations across Qatar (Doha) and other company branches, including Abu Dhabi (UAE) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), based on project requirements.

• Assist with the installation, wiring, termination, and commissioning of electrical, electronic, and instrumentation systems
• Support PLC panels, control panels, sensors, transmitters, and field instruments under engineer supervision
• Perform routine inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic equipment
• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and operational safety
• Provide on‑site technical support during installation, commissioning, and shutdown activities
• Maintain technical records, inspection checklists, and maintenance logs
• Ensure compliance with IEC standards, company procedures, and Qatari safety regulations
• Adhere strictly to HSE policies, PPE requirements, and permit‑to‑work procedures
• Operate confidently in industrial, onshore, and offshore environments

• Experience
  • 1–4 years of hands‑on experience as an Electrical / Electronic Technician in industrial or similar environments.
  • Oil & gas industry experience is highly preferred

• Academic Qualification
  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronic Engineering
  • Instrumentation
  • Mechatronics
  • Or related technical field
• Certifications (Preferred)
  • Basic electrical or instrumentation certifications
  • H2S, confined space, offshore safety, or equivalent certifications are an advantage

• Good knowledge of Electrical & Electronic systems
• Basic understanding of Instrumentation & Control systems
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, wiring drawings, and schematics
• Familiarity with industrial equipment, control panels, and field devices
• Basic exposure to Industrial Automation systems is an advantage
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with attention to safety and detail
