About the job Lead Instrumentation & Control Engineer Responsibilities
- Lead the design and engineering of instrumentation and control systems.
- Review and approve P&IDs, instrument datasheets, control philosophy, and loop diagrams.
- Specify and evaluate field instruments, analyzers, control systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA).
- Ensure compliance with ISA, IEC, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical teams.
- Provide technical support during FAT, SAT, installation, and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project execution.
- Ensure safety integrity level (SIL) compliance and reliability of control systems.
Mandatory Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience
- Age between 35 - 45
- Valid Qatar Engineering License (MME/MMUP/UPDA)
- Consultancy experience with Kent, Wood, Worley, BCCES, or Technip
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Instrumentation/Control/Electrical Engineering.
- 1215 years of experience in instrumentation & control, with oil & gas exposure.
- Experience with Honeywell, Siemens, ABB, Yokogawa systems preferred.
- Knowledge of HAZOP, SIL, and functional safety standards.
