About the job Lead Civil/Structural Engineer Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and review of civil and structural engineering deliverables for the project.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams, contractors, and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with international codes, standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocodes), and client specifications.
- Conduct structural calculations, load analysis, and foundation design for onshore/offshore facilities.
- Supervise preparation of drawings, material specifications, and construction documents.
- Perform site inspections, resolve technical issues, and support construction teams.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation).
- Ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery of project deliverables.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in civil/structural design, preferably in oil & gas projects.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng/PE) preferred.
- Consultancy experience with Kent, Wood, Worley, BCCES, or Technip.
- Valid Qatar Engineering License (MME/MMUP/UPDA).
- Strong knowledge of STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP
2000, and AutoCAD.
- Leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Qatar/local regulations is an advantage.
