The Senior Pipeline Inspector shall be responsible for ensuring that all pipeline-related activities comply with approved procedures, project specifications, applicable codes, and international standards.
Job Responsibilities Mill Inspection- Monitor pipe manufacturing, rolling, and welding processes
- Review chemical and mechanical properties of materials
- Witness cladding processes
- Review and/or witness heat treatment procedures, where applicable
- Witness pipe bending activities as required
- Monitor pipe coating application and procedures
- Verify substrate preparation and anchor profile requirements
- Measure and verify wet and dry film thickness
- Conduct and witness holiday testing
- Witness adhesion testing and Barcol hardness testing, where required
- Inspect preparation of materials for transportation
- Review preservation, packing, and storage measures
- Witness load-out activities and securing of materials for shipment
- Review and witness welding procedure qualifications (WPQ/WPS)
- Inspect production welding activities
- Inspect offshore installation equipment, including lay barges and associated systems
- Monitor excavation, laying, and back filling activities (onshore and offshore)
- Verify field joint coating application
- Inspect weight coating activities
- Witness anode installation
- Review and witness hydrotesting activities, including pigging, cleaning, and drying
Where applicable, surveillance and/or witnessing of the following NDT activities:
- Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
- Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Hardness Testing
- Visual Inspection (VT)
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in pipeline inspection for offshore and onshore projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering, or a related discipline) from an internationally recognized university
- CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2
- AWS – CWI & SCWI
- ASNT Level II in UT, RT, PT, and MT
- Valid offshore certifications as per project requirements
