Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Safety).

Knowledge and/or Experience

• 8 years experience in loss prevention and industrial safety in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience with special emphasis on process safety, and risk assessment/studies.
• Experience inleading hazard identification reviews utilizing recognized techniques (e.g., HAZOP, What-If, etc.) with a good understanding of both qualitative and quantitative risk assessment techniques.
• Practical knowledge of safe systems of work is essential with Emergency Preparedness knowledge/experience.
• Ability to read and communicate engineering drawings/documents.

Technical and Business Skills

• Ability to work under tight timelines in sometimes high-pressure situations.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, hazard identification software (e.g., PHAPro), consequence modelling software (e.g., PHAST), or other software (e.g., Bow Tie).
• Very good knowledge or written and spoken English with ability to produce procedures, technical reports, and present them to various level of audience.
• Requires analytical, interpretative and constructive thinking skills.
