Position: TECHNICAL COORDINATOR

Overview

Primary Purpose Of The Job Provides high-level technical support and strategic advisory services to the Operations Manager, Drilling & Completions. The role has broad accountability covering conceptual field development planning, drilling, completions, workover operations, well services, and well integrity. It requires deep technical expertise, strong organizational capability, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams within and outside the department.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a senior advisor to the Drilling & Completions Department on complex technical, operational, and strategic matters to support sound decision-making.
  • Provide guidance to functions and project teams by identifying risks, opportunities, and improvement areas to enhance project outcomes and delivery.
  • Lead innovation initiatives, technology deployment, and work process improvements aimed at cost reduction, production optimization, and increased workforce productivity.
  • Identify, capture, and disseminate critical technical and commercial learnings from internal operations and external industry sources.
  • Act as a coordinator and performance improvement lead, interfacing with all technical divisions within the Drilling & Completions Department.
  • Influence managers and stakeholders across departments without direct line authority, fostering alignment and collaborative execution.
  • Apply strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to address the complexity and diversity of drilling and completions operations.
  • Collaborate closely with other functions and directorates to ensure integrated planning and execution across the organization.
  • Serve as a recognized industry expert, driving cultural change, continuous improvement, and the adoption of best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Petroleum Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 20 years’ experience in Drilling Engineering, including at least 10 years in an advisory, leadership, or supervisory capacity.
