Purpose of the position:
As Marine Operations Superintendent you will respond/report to the Project Operations Manager / Lead and be part of our company’s various projects within the Subsea Engineering – Marine.
How can you support us? Here are below your responsibilities:
Mission
Supervise the execution of maritime works, both performed by subcontractors or in direct hiring, ensuring full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures and verify that works are correctly carried out in accordance with project documentation and in the planned time frame. Support the subcontractors or the direct hiring personnel ensuring the feasibility (availability of drawings and materials) of the works
Tasks
- Promote safe works practices and environmental protection, ensuring that safety standards are respected
- Ensure the fulfillment of the project quality and contractual requirements
- Verify and confirm the availability of drawings and materials, to plan the efficient execution of the works performed by subcontractors or by direct hiring personnel
- Assist subcontractors or direct hiring personnel for the correct interpretation of the drawings, providing support in the solution of technical problems
- Prepare and coordinate the detailed programs for the assigned activities
- Coordinate human and technical resources, indicating any needs or surplus
- Verify that works are correctly carried out in accordance with the project specifications, highlighting any engineering problems encountered in the field
- Measure the progress of the works carried out
- Provide quantitative data for producing weekly progress reports, monitoring the employed manpower
- Ensure the continuous assessment of the quantities installed
What are we looking for?
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering
, Civil/Structural Engineering
, Marine Construction
, or a closely related discipline.
(Equivalent hands‑on experience in large EPC/EPCI marine or offshore construction projects may also be considered)
Experience
- 10+ years of proven experience in marine operations supervision
, preferably within Oil & Gas, EPC/EPCI, offshore construction, or large multidisciplinary marine projects. - Strong background in coordinating marine assets
, vessel operations
, jetty/piling works
, and marine logistics interface
. - Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and direct‑hire teams in a marine construction environment.
Languages
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to communicate effectively with multinational teams, Clients, and Vendors
Technical Skills / Knowledge
Knowledge of:
- Marine construction methods (piling, jetty works, quay structures, dredging, earthworks).
- Interpretation of construction drawings, marine charts, and technical project documentation.
- Work progress measurement, installation quantities, and reporting standards.
- HSE practices, marine safety regulations, and offshore operational procedures.
- Coordination of marine equipment, vessels, and port activities.
IT Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, tracking logs, status dashboards)
- Word (formatting, document templates)
- PowerPoint (project reporting and presentations)
- Outlook (professional communication and workflow coordination)
