We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy Middle East LLC Doha, Qatar for a :
Mechanical Project Engineer
The Mechanical Engineer – Static & Package Equipment is responsible for the design, detailed engineering, and project management of static, package, and combustion equipment for oil & gas refineries, LNG plants, petrochemical facilities, fertilizer plants, power plants, and related onshore/offshore installations. The role requires strong technical knowledge, engineering expertise, and the ability to oversee projects from feasibility through execution.
Responsibilities- Engineering & Technical Activities
- Perform design and detailed engineering of static and package equipment such as:
- Pressure vessels
- Heat exchangers
- API tanks
- Fired heaters
- Boilers
- HRSGs
- Various packaged equipment
- Develop and review:
- Technical specifications
- Mechanical datasheets
- Material requisitions
- Technical bid evaluations (TBE)
- Material handling reports
- Scope of work documentation
- Execute engineering deliverables for:
- Feasibility studies
- Pre-FEED
- FEED
- EPC projects (greenfield & brownfield)
- Project Management
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Prepare project execution plans, quality plans, and HSE plans.
- Ensure all engineering tasks are completed on schedule and within project requirements.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
. Extensive experience in static and package equipment design and engineering.
Strong background in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, LNG, and fertiliser industries. Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API, TEMA, etc.). Experience in both onshore and offshore facilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in engineering software and tools. Excellent communication and technical documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
