Offshore Lifting / Rigging Specialist.
Job DescriptionThis role is to identify, prepare, manage, review and approve the critical lift activities that shall be carried out offshore, and shall ensure that lifting configuration, such as crane system, rigging details, lifting objects and offshore vessel motions are carefully considered in the overall offshore activities.
Relevant ExperienceDesign, review and approve the lifting plan that relevant to offshore operations vessel to vessel lift, lifting from own vessel back deck, hydrodynamic and subsea lift. Familiar with lift rigging arrangement such as wire rope, shackle, hook, crane lift capacity, lift radius, centre of gravity of the lifting object and subsea assets lifting excursion zone.
Personal SkillsFamiliar with Dynamic Amplifying Factor (DAF) calculation, safe working load and working live load. Familiar with IMCA and offshore IOGP, oil & gas industry practices and safety construction standards. Experience with subsea diving and offshore installation methodologies. Understand offshore lifting scenarios and environmental considerations.
ResponsibilitiesTo develop lift plans with details below:
- Any Engineering degree: nice to have structural, mechanical, naval
- Must have: BOSIET, LEEA certification (if not: to be done asap)
- Minimum 5 years+ offshore experience // 8 years oil & gas
- Availability: immediately (max 10 days)
- Offshore working: onboard DSV (diving support vessel) for heavy lifts (@ up to 75 tons)
