Overview
Responsibilities and expectations for the role include managing the architectural design from FEED studies, during the CFT of the EPCIC tender, through the EPCIC phase and up to handover to Operations; developing HSE culture across the package in all EPC phases (including onshore and offshore); and providing inputs for the optimal design and layout of new living quarters during FEED and EPC with the respective Contractors.
Responsibilities- Promote and comply with applicable safety instructions and HSE procedures in all activities.
- Carry out work in compliance with values, policies, laws, regulations, priorities, objectives, standards, procedures, and good industry practices.
- Treat all information obtained during the course of work as confidential.
- Assist in defining the Package LOP budget and Work Time Schedule with the objective to reduce costs and optimize duration; ensure compliance up to Project Close-out.
- Keep management informed on Package schedule with forecasted project completion through an efficient reporting system.
- Define the Project contracting strategy and procurement (LLI) strategies if applicable.
- Assist in launch of tenders, including preparation of contracting strategy, CFT, bid evaluations, and assistance to technical and commercial analysis of offers for contractor selection.
- Assist Package Lead/Head to compile dossiers and present to obtain internal (validation committees TIF, TAC, CPC, CPAC) and external (Shareholders) approvals for Project contract awards.
- Ensure timely finalization of contractual documents and contract awards.
- Manage Detail Engineering and LQ Cabin progress, follow-up on engineering and vendor documentation reviews to ensure compliance with design dossier, SOR, company specifications, corporate standards, and HSE regulations, international codes and classification society rules.
- Ensure engineering deliverables produced by contractors are properly assigned to and reviewed by appropriately qualified project personnel within the specified time period.
- Supervise, control, review and coordinate development in compliance with project specifications and procedures, with respect to cost, schedule, quality and safety.
- Encourage identification of optimizations/improvements in the design dossier to be implemented in the early stage of concept design.
- Ensure that the design of the LQ meets all statutory host country and, where applicable, international requirements.
- Ensure contractor queries are reviewed and responded to in a timely manner.
- Ensure implementation of the design change process.
- Manage potential deviations from referential with the Engineering Manager for final decision on whether to implement or not.
- Assist with HAZID/HAZOP/Project Technical reviews sessions with Contractors and vendors teams; ensure all necessary technical reviews are planned and executed, with actions closed out systematically.
- Provide engineering support to construction and commissioning teams until handover to operations.
- Ensure close coordination within the team on engineering, constructability and operational matters.
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with Contractors, and call ad hoc meetings as required.
- Ensure company participation in equipment FAT, SAT and other site/vendor inspections as required.
- Follow up on Project progress and risk reporting.
- Issue timely replies to correspondences and address company concerns as required.
- Assist timely handover of completed projects to Operations.
- Carry out any other duties or tasks as assigned by hierarchical superiors.
- Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture. - Experience:
5 years' experience in architectural engineering. - Experience with in a project team within a large multinational taskforce environment.
- Available for technical missions worldwide.
- Language:
Fluent English. - Computer literate; leadership and good communication skills.
- Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
- Good analytical skills.
- H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
- Salary: Day Rate in USD Plus Allowance
- Work Schedule: 8 Hours / 5 Days
- Duration: 31-Dec-2026, with possible extension
- Location: Qatar
