Overview
Plan, lead and supervise subsurface and related surface activities with primary focus on petroleum technology needs/opportunities/trials “new to Qatar Energy” and deliver specialised non-routine technical support, for the development and redevelopment of all Qatar Energy’s Operated & Non-Operated Domestic Oil fields within the VU Directorate. These activities aim at maximise the economic recovery of the currently developed reserves and the discovered undeveloped reserves via sound engineering practices, optimum resources management and fit-for-purpose proven technology applications.
ResponsibilitiesPlan, lead and supervise subsurface and related surface activities with primary focus on petroleum technology needs/opportunities/trials “new to Qatar Energy” and deliver specialised non-routine technical support, for the development and redevelopment of all Qatar Energy’s Operated & Non-Operated Domestic Oil fields within the VU Directorate. RequiredExperience And Skills
- 15 years of related work experience with reputable oil & gas companies.
- 7 years with a major IOC.
- Carbonate reservoir experience.
- GCC experience.
- Technologies implementation, Production Chemistry and Geochemistry experience.
- International multicultural working experience.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Customer oriented mindset.
- Good inter-personal influencing skills.
- Experience using Petroleum Engineering standard software tools: MBAL, Prosper.
BSc degree in Petroleum Engineering or other related discipline.
