Overview
Produce and maintain method drawings used for offshore execution: lifting/rigging sketches, sea-fastening, installation sequences, temporary works, layouts, and method statements visuals to support safe construction and offshore operations.
Reporting line:
Typically reports to Project/Construction/Methods Manager within a methods or subsea engineering group.
Key responsibilities- Develop 2D/3D drawings that support offshore construction methods (installation sequences, deck layouts, equipment arrangements, lifting plans, temporary supports).
- Convert method engineering inputs into clear IFC/IFR drawings
, sketches, and markups for offshore teams. - Ensure drawings align with HSE, lifting/rigging best practices
, and project constraints (vessel, crane capacity, access/egress). - Manage drawing registers, revisions, and as-built updates; coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA/QC.
- Support offshore queries with quick turnarounds and accurate revisions.
- Diploma in Drafting / Mechanical / Civil (or equivalent)
- Strong experience in offshore EPC / construction drafting 7+
years - Proficiency:
AutoCAD (must), often Micro Station / Navisworks / Solid Works depending on project - Understanding of lifting/rigging terminology, temporary works, and constructability
