Pumping Station Operators
Madre Integrated Engineering | Full time
Operate and monitor sewage pumping stations, including pumps, motors, valves, screens, and control panels (SCADA/PLC where applicable).
Ensure uninterrupted transfer of sewage to treatment facilities by maintaining optimal pump operation.
Perform routine inspections, log readings (flow, pressure, levels), and report abnormalities.
Carry out basic preventive maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
Identify operational faults and coordinate with maintenance teams for corrective actions.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, power failures, and pump breakdowns.
Maintain accurate operational records, shift logs, and maintenance reports.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and Qatar local authority requirements.
Assist during shutdowns, startups, and emergency operations.
Maintain housekeeping standards within the pumping station and surrounding areas.
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and external service providers as required.
Requirements Requirements & QualificationsDiploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering (preferred).
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in sewage treatment plants or pumping station operations.
Strong knowledge of centrifugal pumps, motors, valves, pipelines, and electrical control systems.
Experience working with SCADA systems and control panels is an advantage.
Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and respond to emergencies.
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and confined space operations.
Physically fit and able to work in operational field conditions.
