What you will do
The Technician (Firefighting) plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of firefighting, fire detection, and suppression systems across assigned facilities. This position requires strong technical expertise, hands‑on maintenance capability, and the ability to support daily operational needs, troubleshooting, inspections, and reporting. As a core member of the operations and service team, you will be responsible for:
1. Firefighting System Maintenance & SupportPerform full maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting on the following systems:
Fire pumps & controllers
Sprinkler systems
Fire hose reels
Landing valves
Fire hydrants
Pre‑action & deluge systems
Water mist systems
Foam systems (including conductivity testing)
Fire extinguishers & fire blankets
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for:
Clean agent systems
Foam‑based suppression systems
Kitchen hood suppression systems
Support PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) and troubleshooting for:
Fire alarm and detection systems
Voice evacuation systems
Central battery systems
Smoke management systems
Manage daily technical issues and resolve system errors across all firefighting and suppression systems.
Prepare detailed technical and service reports for review by the Service Engineer/Ops Team Leader.
Maintain daily service logs accurately and consistently.
Report system status, technical concerns, and progress updates to the Site Engineer on a daily basis.
Supervise and guide assigned technicians to ensure timely task completion.
Support the Service Engineer in addressing technical queries and concerns raised by clients or stakeholders.
You will perform all activities as per the approved scope of work, following:
Company procedures
Maintenance standards
System‑specific checklists
Approved preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
You will ensure:
All activities comply with technical guidelines.
All checklists and service reports are completed accurately.
Equipment performance is maintained to meet operational and safety standards.
Smooth coordination with the Service Engineer and clients during inspections, testing, and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Educational / Technical Requirements
Diploma with minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, OR
ITI with minimum 10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
Strong, in‑depth knowledge of fire pump controllers, diesel fire pump engine servicing, troubleshooting, and programming.
Proven ability to handle Civil Defense, consultant, and client inspections confidently.
Preferred:
Room integrity testing certification and hands‑on test experience
Experience in smoke management systems, maintenance, and testing
Strong communication and documentation skills
Team‑oriented with professional work ethics
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proactive, self‑driven, and open‑minded
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Capability to identify and implement technically optimal solutions
