Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure/Transportation Project (PQS)

Location: Doha, Qatar

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a high-profile transportation infrastructure project in Doha as part of the client's delivery team. This is a critical role within a major program that will shape the region’s future mobility, offering the opportunity to contribute to complex, large-scale works in a dynamic project environment. The position is predominantly post-contract and requires a commercially astute professional with strong stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead post-contract commercial management across significant infrastructure work packages.
  • Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and project procedures.
  • Manage variations, claims, and change control processes, providing robust commercial recommendations.
  • Review and negotiate contractor submissions, including interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Provide strategic commercial advice to senior project leadership.
  • Support dispute avoidance and resolution activities where necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with project controls, technical teams, and external stakeholders to maintain commercial integrity.
Requirements
  • MRICS accreditation is essential.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in quantity surveying, with a strong track record on large infrastructure and/or transportation projects.
  • Demonstrated post-contract expertise on complex, high-value projects.
  • Prior client-side or consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC) and commercial best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively within multidisciplinary, international project teams.
