The Subsea Pre-Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all subsea pre-commissioning activities for offshore oil & gas projects. This includes preparing pre-commissioning procedures, conducting equipment and system testing, monitoring subsea operations, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The role ensures that all subsea systems are ready for commissioning and handover to operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and implement pre-commissioning procedures for subsea systems.
  • Supervise and participate in testing, flushing, cleaning, and verification of subsea equipment and pipelines.
  • Coordinate with offshore and onshore teams to ensure smooth execution of pre-commissioning activities.
  • Monitor system performance and report discrepancies or issues, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, QA/QC standards, and project specifications.
  • Support commissioning handover documentation and final acceptance procedures.

Qualifications and

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Ocean/Marine Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in subsea pre-commissioning, commissioning, or offshore operations.
  • Hands‑on experience with subsea systems, umbilicals, manifolds, pipelines, and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of pre‑commissioning techniques, testing, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Strong understanding of HSE practices and offshore safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, offshore and onshore.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Certification in offshore safety training (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (API, ISO, etc.) is an advantage.
