Job Title:
PTW Coordinator
Location:
Onshore, Qatar (Ras Laffan / Doha)
Start Date:
ASAP Contract Duration: 2-year initial contract, with potential extension Working Schedule
- 8-10 hours per day, Sunday to Thursday
- Single status: 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- Married status:
Residential
- Coordinate all Permit to Work (PTW) activities to ensure safe, timely and efficient preparation and execution of work.
- Ensure compliance with site procedures, regulatory requirements and industry safety standards.
- Support operations, contractors and project teams in the effective use of PTW systems.
- Act as the single point of contact for all PTW activities within the assigned area.
- Serve as the interface between Operations and Performing Parties, providing guidance on PTW processes and requirements.
- Review and screen permit applications during the planning phase to ensure appropriate risk assessments are completed.
- Identify conflicting activities, potential hazards and required mitigation measures.
- Lead daily PTW coordination meetings and communicate upcoming work schedules and priorities.
- Maintain and update daily registers of permits, certificates, audits and performance data.
- Brief Shift Supervisors on planned permits and operational impacts prior to authorisation.
- Conduct field spot checks to ensure work is executed in accordance with approved permits and procedures.
- Coordinate and participate in routine PTW audits and act as focal point for audit activities.
- Monitor and report overdue or expired permits and related documentation.
- Maintain PTW records in line with document control and retention requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve PTW processes, safety and efficiency.
- Prepare regular PTW reports, statistics and non-compliance summaries.
- Support incident and near-miss investigations related to PTW activities when required.
- Ensure all activities comply with company Safety, Health, Environment and Quality policies.
- Support workforce development and knowledge sharing where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- HND or equivalent in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of oil and gas operations experience within an operational environment.
- Practical experience working with PTW systems.
- Technical exposure within process or operational areas.
- Experience working in large, multinational environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organisational and coordination abilities.
- High attention to detail with a strong safety focus.
- Ability to manage multiple activities in a high-volume, high-risk environment.
- Effective stakeholder management and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving and planning capabilities.
- High standards of integrity, accountability and professional conduct.
