We are seeking a skilled SCADA Engineer to support a Solar Power Project on a short-term assignment in Ras Laffan, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PV SCADA systems, automation, and system integration, with the ability to join immediately.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and manage PV SCADA systems to ensure optimal solar plant performance
- Maintain SCADA cyber security, system access controls, and network integrity
- Perform system updates, troubleshoot software and network issues, and resolve communication failures with field devices
- Integrate SCADA systems with SQL databases, data historians, and existing DCS systems
- Support commissioning, testing, and on-site system validation
- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and schematics
- Train operators and site personnel on SCADA system usage and best practices
- Ensure compliance with project standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering
- Professional certifications in SCADA / Automation are an advantage
- Proven experience in SCADA systems, preferably within solar or power generation projects
- Strong understanding of industrial networks, automation protocols, and cyber security
- Hands‑on experience with PV monitoring systems and control platforms
