Sr. Civil Structural Engineer Job Doha area,Qatar,Engineering

1) Provide civil and structural engineering services and act as the main focal point and highest technical authority for all related

2) Carry out conceptual studies/FEED and preliminary structural engineering calculations for any civil/structural modifications, repairs, including buildings, supports, underground drainage, paving, roads, foundations (for static and dynamic loading) and structural steelwork.

3) Review and prepare scopes of work and related engineering deliverables like technical study reports like in place analysis, foundation & structural design calculations, GA drawings/civil layouts, detailed drawings, structural connection details, MTOs, specifications, architectural finishing details etc.

4) Carry out feasibility studies and prepare/review ESRs and modification proposals (FMPs) for all civil/structural engineering related projects and raise deviation requests as applicable.

5) Supervise the activities of the FEED/engineering/construction/EPC contractors on all civil and structural engineering related activities ensuring compliance with specifications, HSE&S standards and international codes/standards in alignment with corporate policies and strategies.

6) Manage detailed civil and structural design activities, including formulation and interpretation of engineering and material/construction specifications to ensure alignment with standards and specifications.

7) Interface with the engineering consultants and construction/EPC contractors engineering teams and provide technical guidance and expertise to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met.

8) Review vendors/subcontractor(s) drawings and related documentation to ensure the civil and structural engineering aspects meet the design specifications. Comment on and/or approve the relevant documents and drawings and follow-up with engineering/EPC contractors to ensure the comments are incorporated into the drawings and related documentation.

9) Review specifications/material requisitions, vendor selections, and technical bids, and approve or make a recommendation to management for approval, as per the Document Distribution Matrix (DDM).

Minimum Education al Requirements /

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Civil, Structure Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum 12 years relevant experience in civil, structure or engineering within the oil and gas industry or related engineering consultants/EPC contractors.

Skills and

Competencies:

Proficiency in related international codes (ASTM, API etc), structural analysis, dynamic foundation analysis and 3 modeling tools/software
