Senior Interface Engineer

The Senior Interface Engineer is assigned to the package WHP of the Project, during execution of EPCIC phase.

• General compliance:
  Promote & comply with HSE policy, instructions and procedures in all activities, carry out work in compliance with company values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed priorities and objectives, company standards and procedures and good industry practices, treat all information obtained during the course of work with confidentiality, deliver work to short deadlines in high pressure project environment.
• General management:
  Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior with regard to HSSE and implement HSSE rules and requirements within area of responsibility, assist and support the package manager in the management of project control activities (operational report), particularly related to change management and cost/schedule impacts.
• Communicate and collaborate within department (MP) and the wider organization to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Communicate and liaise with D&W, E&C to ensure timely and efficient resolution of interfaces.
• Ensure all works carried out in compliance with company standards and policies, and support any associated audits, as necessary.
• Ensure confidentiality of all documentation produced (whatever its support).
• Timely report to Package Manager, highlighting progress and areas of concern encountered.
• Engineering and interfaces:
  Liaise with other interface engineers, all discipline engineers involved in management of interfaces, and contractor personnel handling interfaces, ensuring non-contractual interfaces are properly addressed.
• Organise and attend technical interface meetings as necessary.
• Ensure consistency and correct interfacing with other areas during detailed design, procurement, fabrication, installation phases and animate dedicated transverse coordination between packages as required to ensure all requirements for EPC activities are complied with.
• Ensure timely review of documentation by company interfaces to identify clashes/conflicts.
• Ensure coordination and follow‑up of E&C G&G surveys throughout execution.
• Follow up 3rd‑party interfaces (e.g. Logistic).
• Oversee implementation of the interface management process by project team and contractor(s), keeping the Interface Task Register (ITR) and Interface Document Register (IDR) updated.
• Attend all interface‑related meetings, including interface workshops, HAZID / HAZOP meetings, meetings with contractor(s), etc., to ensure permanent control of battery limits.
• Control and follow‑up process to have all deliverables timely issued by contractors for all interfaces and control quality of these deliverables.
• Assist EPCIC contractor(s) as required in closing out interfaces and expedite exchange of interface task sheets.
• Ensure that EPCIC contractors provide proper reporting of progress of their interface activities and subsequently report on progress of interface management process implementation to project manager, reporting deviations or conflicts with proposed remedial actions.
• Avoid change orders and delays caused by interface issues by ensuring timely follow‑up of interfaces, anticipating problems and working with contractors, engineering manager and discipline engineers to propose technical solutions.
• Liaise with other departments like Drilling & Wells, Reservoir & Geosciences and Field Operations for management of interface up to their close‑out.
• Liaise with the project team and discipline engineers on all interface matters and expedite development of the interface management process between contractors.
• Liaise with the Document Control team to assist consolidation of interface management records for all project packages.
• When necessary participate in monitoring interfaces between different subcontractors of main EPCIC contractor.
• Monitor and chase technical queries and derogations requests in liaison with discipline engineers and company technical reference persons.
• Ensure technical coordination between packages and in close coordination with package manager and engineering leads.
