Railway Operations Expert

Our client is a leading independent technical services organization in Qatar providing testing, inspection, certification, and assurance solutions across multiple industries. It supports clients in sectors such as transport and rail, infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects, with a strong focus on safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and performance assurance.

• Support railway safety monitoring across Doha Metro and Lusail LRT, including audits, inspections, operational reviews, and site assessments.
• Evaluate operational procedures, OCC/control room processes, emergency and incident management, degraded modes, and competence frameworks to ensure safe operations.
• Provide operational safety input to Management of Change (MoC), SMS implementation, and assessment of hazards, risks, and safety‑critical changes.
• Contribute to governance, reporting, and assurance activities, including audit findings, technical reports, corrective actions, and multidisciplinary coordination.

• Minimum 15+ years of railway operations experience on major rail projects.
• Proven experience within metro, tram, light rail, or urban rail operations.
• Strong background in operational safety, including OCC/control centre processes, incident and emergency management, and degraded mode operations.
• Experience supporting audits, safety reviews, SMS implementation, and regulatory or independent assurance activities.

• Experience working in the Middle East or GCC region.
• Experience with GoA4/driverless metro systems.
• Familiarity with EN 50126 / CENELEC standards, safety cases, hazard logs, and Management of Change processes.
• Experience interfacing with regulators, operators, maintainers, and independent assessors.
