Responsibilities
  • Perform HVAC facilities maintenance of the Early Warning Radar (QEWR) facility.
  • Serve as the lead technical point of contact for customer operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques.
  • Integrate, test mechanical-focused hardware, conduct mechanical analyses, and coordinate communication across teams to ensure HVAC hardware performance.
  • Lead teams or subcontractors in completion of HVAC related tasks.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks Services (PMCS), troubleshoot and repair HVAC support EWR systems.
  • Coordinate PMCS and repair execution activities with the Lead and provide inputs to operational reports.
  • Create and maintain a maintenance plan, enter non‑conformance into Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO).
  • Establish maintenance and repair schedules based on equipment availability and part supply.
  • Develop internal administrative procedures to procure, store, and issue publications, tools, parts, and POL.
  • Manage maintenance float items to replace equipment that cannot be repaired within prescribed time limits.
  • Move materials and equipment to work locations, set up work sites, and maintain accurate records and accountability of tools and equipment.
  • Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Successfully completed an HVAC course from a recognized technical institute or approved apprenticeship program.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification.
  • HVAC Excellence Certification.
  • Experience substantiating technical concepts with engineering documentation.
  • Communicated problems with other specialists and recommended potential solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC engineering, development, and/or test, preferably for defense‑related components or systems.
  • Experience maintaining large, complex facility equipment.
  • Communicated with cross‑disciplined engineering team members and suppliers to analyze capabilities and compliance to requirements.
  • Worked under limited supervision and acted as responsible field engineer overseeing subsystems within an effort.
  • Experience with effective written and verbal communication, including documentation, presentations, and reports to program management and customers.
  • Demonstrated experience with organizational and intermediate electrical troubleshooting techniques of HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices for operation and sustainment of HVAC equipment.
  • Ability to work in harsh climates and lift 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NATE certification.
  • 8+ years of experience in HVAC engineering, development, and/or test, preferably for defense‑related components or systems.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with cross‑disciplined teams using trust, respect, and innovation to drive results toward a shared vision.
  • Exceptional judgment and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on active participation of appropriate individuals across the business.
  • Experience training team members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for technical analysis, data sorting, and documentation.
  • Previous experience in International EWR FMS Programs.
  • Experience living and working overseas.
  • Experience with Contractor Logistics Support.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience.
  • Associate’s Degree with 8 years of related experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
